Manufacture and Supply of Premium Carpets
Our Client is a well known name in the manufacture and supply of premium carpets for the domestic market, selling through many small independent retailers as well as via buying groups, national retailers, and a growing commercial/ contract sector. Due to forthcoming retirement the Company wish to recruit a Sales & Marketing Director who will report to the MD. This is an interesting role with a wide ranging brief.
The role carries overall responsibility for all Sales & Marketing activity, including the management, leadership and motivation of internal and external sales teams, of UK and overseas field sales agents and the CRM of key accounts.
You will be responsible for setting and exceeding sales budgets, agreeing pricing policy, developing and delivering product presentation materials (including in-store POS displays) and promotions, product portfolio management, and an input into the product design.
You will possess a track record of success of selling branded products to consumers via retailers in a similar competitive market. Effective vision, leadership, communication and motivation skills are key to managing a small team, to drive sales forward and deliver profitable and sustainable sales growth.
The role will coordinate the direct and indirect sales networks, and ensure that recruitment, motivation, training and development is undertaken across all channels to optimise sales growth and market penetration. This will involve travel in the UK with occasional European visits.
Of graduate calibre with analytical and reasoning skills, you will be a clear leader of sales teams with drive, enthusiasm and first class communication and listening skills. An excellent relationship builder and practitioner of CRM, a creative and imaginative marketer with a hands on involved style you will be as comfortable handling detail as in developing and delivering successful strategies.
