Factura partners Cranfield University for new MSc

New University Masters programme develops global business leaders. Press Release.

Cranfield University has launched a new Masters programme in Global Product Development and Management, specifically aimed at producing business leaders able to respond to the challenges and demands of modern globalised markets.

The world is becoming increasingly connected, bringing a host of new challenges in terms of organisational management, product development and cross-border collaboration. Businesses need to adopt collaborative global models to improve efficiencies and develop intelligent, sustainable and internationally competitive products, for which they require well educated people equipped with knowledge and the ‘international language’ that will give then the edge to compete in the global market.

Cranfield University is well placed to offer such a course, with a strong reputation for its close links with industry and diverse international body of students.

“As a research intensive university, much of our income is generated through working with company partners, which means our courses and continually updated to meet the requirements of employers. Many of our partners are involved in our postgraduate courses, either by inputting into course content, or through sponsoring students and providing real projects for practical group and individual project work,” said Dr Jörn Mehnen, Course Director for the programme. “This course has been developed to meet a growing need in industry for global thinkers, who can apply their knowledge of global markets to effectively manage cross-border teams and develop internationally competitive products and services.”

The Global Product Development and Management course features presentations from leading lecturers from world-leading universities such as KAIST, Stanford and Berlin who provide teaching through a virtual environment.

Throughout the course, students are introduced to cutting-edge technologies for worldwide product development and management, including concept creation and creativity for practical product engineering. Students are also able to apply their skills in a hands-on mini project that culminates in the physical generation of a real industrial product.

The course has been developed in partnership with Factura Executive Search, a leader in senior executive search and selection, with a focus on the recruitment of experienced leaders. This partnership ensures the programme is aligned to industry needs and is well positioned to enable successful graduates to gain high profile careers in their chosen fields.

Mike South, Managing Director of Factura, said, "Cranfield enjoys well deserved renown world-wide and is shaping the global leaders of the future with world leading courses, such as the MSc in Global Product Development and Management. This unique premium course is a ‘must’ for ambitious and motivated future leaders of product development and delivery in our global community".
