Factura Executive Recruitment

Market recovery brings some optimism
Factura has seen a substantial revival in senior appointments during 2010, although unevenly spread across sectors.“We believe that the recovery is, if anything, happening in an upwards direction through company structures” MD Mike South commented. “First, vacancies began to increase at specialist and manager levels, as seen by our partner company, Jonathan Lee Recruitment. Then more senior positions began to arise, but at the functional (not Managing) Director level. Now more MD level vacancies are arising.”
“Within permanent recruitment, we have seen a return of Operations Director vacancies, almost always requiring high-calibre candidates with demonstrable experience in lean transformation. Specialist vacancies relating to cleantech/greentech projects, as well as Sales & Marketing and Country Manager appointments are arising. Clients are demanding the very highest calibre from the market, these candidates remain at a high premium despite the recessionary times”.
Our Interim business is increasing with, again, Operations a focus of interest.
Particularly active industries have included the chemicals and process sectors. Many sectors are showing some signs of life, with projects arising in SMEs, and vacancies requiring China-related expertise (including language skills such as Mandarin).
Our involvement with IMSA has led to more international assignment activity.
“It is hardly boom time, but a relief after 2 poor years” said Mike.
“We are responding to the new normality by developing even better bespoke IT systems and web-based networking systems to research and identify candidates more quickly. But despite all the technology our core differentiator remains the knowledge built up over 30 years of existence, and the quality of our consultants, all of whom have owned or run significant businesses.”
